about

Dance on the Earth was written by Tony King and Roy Nicolson in 1991 to promote Aboriginal Reconcilliation in Australia. This is something we are extremely passionate about, now more than ever, as we urge Australians to get behind the Uluru Statement and the First Nations Voice to Parliament. The song is brilliantly performed by Hugh Moran. All instruments by Tony King and Roy Nicolson. The image is from an oil painting by Tony King titled "Resilience". Dance on the Earth
© Tony King and Roy Nicolson 1991

Show me how to dance on the earth
I want to belong ,I want to belong to the land
Show me how to dance on the earth
Take my hand

I watch you touching the ground
You seem to grow from the land
The secrets you’ve learned
Over thousands of years
Are mysteries I don’t understand

Show me how to dance on the earth
I want to belong, I want to belong to the land
Show me how to dance on the earth
Take my hand

And even when you’re away
I see your face in the stream
I want to learn, how to look in your eyes
I want to be part of your dream

Show me how to dance on the earth
I want to belong, I want to belong to the land
Show me how to dance on the earth
Take my hand

And I hear your voice in the wind
Calling my name
And I hear your voice in the Trees
Calling my name
And it satisfies something
Something I’ll never explain

History has left behind
A thousand tears in the sun
Everything sacred returned to the ground
Comes back to you dancing as one

Show me how to dance on the earth
I want to belong, I want to belong to the land
Show me how to dance on the earth
Take my hand

Show me how to dance on the earth
I want to belong, I want to belong to the land
Show me how to dance on the earth
Take my hand
Take my hand
Take my hand
Take my hand

about

Beautifully Mad Sydney, Australia

Breathtaking original music reminiscent of the beauty of James Taylor, some honey from Melody Gardot, a lyrical spice of Cohen washed down with some Waits-like humour. A musical flame that licks at the heels of Folk and Jazz
